Our vineyard

Château Clarisse

Château Clarisse is a family-owned estate founded in 2009 on the heights of Puisseguin-Saint-Émilion by Didier and Olivia Le Calvez. In the heart of the vineyards, the property flourishes on a rare clay-and-limestone terroir that gives rise to vibrant, finely structured wines with remarkable freshness, in which Cabernet Franc plays a leading role.

Extending over approximately 24 hectares, the vineyard is tended with great care and deep respect for nature, biodiversity and the soil, with hand harvesting and a constant pursuit of precision. This exacting approach is reflected in the wines, approachable in their youth yet capable of ageing beautifully over time, and also makes Villa Héloïse an authentic and soothing retreat, ideal for immersing oneself in the world of the vineyard throughout a stay.

A la rencontre de

Tiphanie BALLATEAU

Our vintages

Puisseguin-Saint-Emilion

The Château Clarisse Puisseguin-Saint-Émilion cuvée is the most direct expression of the estate’s vineyard: a structured, precise red, crafted to be approachable while remaining exacting in style.

Cabernet Franc, the estate’s signature grape variety, brings freshness and lift, supported by Merlot, and at times by other varieties.

It is the ideal introduction to the Château Clarisse style: defined elegance, beautiful energy, and a true sense of balance.

Château Clarisse

Vieilles Vignes

The Château Clarisse Vieilles Vignes cuvée embodies the estate’s rise in refinement. Drawn from old vines, often more deeply rooted, it yields a denser, more structured wine, crafted for ageing and for special occasions.

The blend remains true to Château Clarisse’s Bordeaux identity, combining Merlot and Cabernet Franc, sometimes complemented by other grape varieties, with greater concentration and added complexity, shaped by vines of which some are over 70 years old.

This is the estate’s wine of emotion and cellaring, capable of evolving beautifully over the years, up to 10 to 20 years in the finest vintages, ideal for a dinner party, a celebratory meal or a well-appointed cellar.

Château Clarisse

Castillon Côtes de Bordeaux

The Château Clarisse Castillon Côtes de Bordeaux “Allegria” cuvée offers a chance to discover the estate’s style in a more immediately generous and convivial expression, while preserving the precision and exacting standards that define Château Clarisse.

Produced under the Castillon Côtes de Bordeaux appellation, this cuvée is made from 100% Merlot, resulting in a harmonious wine with vibrant fruit, a supple and balanced palate, crafted for pleasure and regular enjoyment without ever compromising on quality.

It reveals another facet of the estate, more open and approachable, ideal at the table and easy to share, while remaining perfectly controlled in style.

Clarisse

Chardonnay

The Clarisse Chardonnay cuvée marks an important milestone for the estate, opening up the world of Château Clarisse beyond Bordeaux reds. Conceived as a gateway into the property’s style, it asserts a distinct identity of its own.

Produced as a Vin de France white wine, this Chardonnay is partially aged in oak barrels, lending it texture, structure and impressive length, while preserving its fruit-forward character and finely balanced freshness.

It is a structured, precise and elegant white, ideally suited to the table, particularly with fish, shellfish or poultry, for those who appreciate white wines crafted with true discernment.
